What the hell are humans doing drinking cow's milk?

I have also read a report that says that instead of preventing osteoporosis, cow's milk promotes it.

But of course the milk industry is fast to deny this. And talking about the calcium absorption, you will be surprised to learn that the milk industry actually stated that the calcium in milk is more bioavailable to our body compares to calcium from vegetables.

So who'r right and who's wrong? Another email I read is written by a lady who eat and drink soya products all the time.

She ended up with continuous problem with tumours and finally realised that her obsession with soya is the cause of her problems. She's now avoiding soya products and urging people to do so.

We had a doctor come into our office to give a talk on cancer. Two items he said will always stick to mind. One is that soya beans are not to be taken in excess because soya is rather close in properties to eostrogen (the female hormone) and eostrogen is the cause of cancer. The other item he said that is enlightening is to also remove the ovaries when undergoing hysterectomy. Reason being eostrogen is produced by the ovaries and when the ovaries are removed, chances of getting cancer reduces from 95% to 5%. Bottomline, soya is not such a great product esp for ladies.

The above is just for info - just sharing what I read and understood from the doctor's talk.

Whatever it is, everything in moderation is a safe bet.HappySurferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01444290549991093661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31293191.post-56467294869342863152010-11-30T23:50:48.871+08:002010-11-30T23:50:48.871+08:00Sometimes I think milk is one of those great marke...Sometimes I think milk is one of those great marketing conspiracy by milk companies, though I will agree with Nino that cow's milk is the natural choice for those living on countrysides.

Lizzy:
haha, I guess I drink too many variety of soya bean milk, and now Yeo's is one of my least preferred option. It's written by a lady scientist, who has had several operations on cancerous parts of her body, looking for an answer as to why women in China hardly get the disease vis-a-vis women of the west. After extensive research, she and her husband (also a scientist) discovered that Chinese women don't drink milk.

She then stopped consuming all milk products. Her tumours disappeared. She lives to tell the tale, so to speak.

I have a colleague who had breast cancer and during her treatment period, refrained totally from milk products. She's now approaching her fifth year after her operation.
