But last Sunday was an exveption. Wifey and I went to Suntec city for travel fair to find our honeymoon package. After which, we went to this Hong Kong cafe by the same name.
Hong Kong Cafe. Duh!
And I ordered something that looks like this.
Instant noodles + 1 egg + 2 luncheon meat + 1 sad vegetable.
For %5.90+++.
Thats about $6.80 for a bowl of noodles.
Looking around at what fellow customers are eating, I'm amazed that there are a few others eating this overpriced noodles. Don't you guys get the chance to eat instant noodles at home?
Noodles are not likely to be hand-made. Probably straight from those 5-packets sold in convenience stalls.
And luncheon meat taste suspiciously like the one obtained from the can.
And the egg is.... an egg.
So here comes the question - why am I eating this when I'm bashing it?
I must admit - its the craving for luncheon meat. My mum boycott luncheon meat for the meals she dished out because it ain't healthy. So here I am satisfying my craving in the most extravagant way.
Oh, and the cold water cost 40 cents.
I'll be going Hong Kong in 2 weeks time for a business trip.
Will take that chance to see what HongKongers really eat.
Anyone interested in a joint venture to open Shanghai cafe in Singapore?
We can replace the word "Shanghai" with anything, since we are seling only instant noodles.
Instant noodles with sardines (from cans).
Instant noodles with mushroom (from cans).
Or even Instant noodles with cornflakes!
