All for the family

Mr Z is s member's of the Rat's Race.
He is a sole breadwinner of the family and has to support
(1) his wife
(2) his 2 children
(3) his HDB instalments.

Mr Z has been working in a big Singaporean company for 10+ years, but is not recognised for his contribution. He is a hard worker, but doesn't suck up to the boss like other people do. He is condemned, he get scolded but he still has to go on, because he cannot afford to lose his job.

His pride is low, but he never say die, like a cockroach.

He has since embarked on a sideline while holding his current job and started earning extra income. Someday, he will leave his first job. looking at how much initiative and research that he does for his sideline, I know he will suceed someday.

Anyway, I visited him at his humble HDB flat 2 days ago, and was amazed at how close his children are to him. It dawned upon me how much it is still possible, though hard, for a man to balance a job and family.

Balancing 2 jobs and a family can be tough, but it can be done by spending less time on less important things, like watching TV.

What matters is not now, but the many many years ahead.
Don't be the grasshopper that plays all day through summer, and end up starving when winter comes.

If you do not do things a different way, then your life will not be any much different from now.

Reap what you sow, and be proud of it!
Your family will stand by and be proud of you too.
