A salute to Scotty

I have been a WWE fan for so many years. Though we all know wrestling is fake (as with Santa Claus), the people are real.

I read about the recent release of Scotty 2 Hotty. He's not exactly a big shot like John Cena, Shawn Michaels and the rest, but one of the many I grew up watching.

A big star in my view. His farewell note on his blog was kind of touchy, considered that he wasn't well used, except being asked to job (wresling term for "losing matches") to other characters.

I'll post his farewell here to share with you guys. His positive attitude and enthusiasm will be remembered, and will hopefully bring him far in the wrestling world.

Will miss ya, Scotty.

-------------
THANK YOU!

First off let me say thank you to all of the fans out there who have supported me over the last 18 or so years. I have received a lot of phone call, emails, and text messages saying sorry about your release from WWE. Please don't be sorry for me because let me tell you that it was one hell of a ride.

It was more than a kid from a small town in Maine could have ever dreamed of. I saw so many places, met so many people, and did so many things that most people only dream of. It was a disapointment when I got the call to be released, but I also think that deep down inside I was ready to move on. WWE had a business decision to make and they made it. I had a ten year full time run with WWE. They're aren't a lot of people who can say that.

I am so thankful for those ten years and I have nothing to complain about. I can't wait to get out and work some shows around the country and be able to meet new people and wrestle with guys that I have never worked with before. Love the "Scotty 2 Hotty" character or hate it, I have always given 100% and I will continue to do so. I tried to explain to my five year old daughter today that I wasn't going to be wrestling for WWE anymore. It didn't seem to bother her at all. So ya know what I guess everything will be just fine.

If We Couldn't Laugh We Would All Go Insane

Have Fun

Scotty
